Hello, my name is Isabel Newman, and in the summer of 2026, I would like to volunteer with communities in Sri Lanka that are less fortunate than I am through Travelteer Impact.

Travelteer Impact is a UK-registered charity that supports long-term community and conservation projects in Sri Lanka. The charity works closely with local partners to improve education through English and sports programmes in schools, protect wildlife through turtle conservation and rainforest restoration, and promote environmental sustainability through beach and river clean-ups. Travelteer Impact focuses on creating lasting, community-led change that benefits both local people and the environment.

In order to achieve this goal, I will need to raise money, and this is where you come in. The total cost is around £3000, and I will be raising some through fundraising events offered through school and some on my own, but I will be mostly reliant on the sponsorship of the people around me.

This cause truly means a lot to me, and I would be incredibly grateful for any support, as your donation would allow me to contribute to meaningful work and make a positive difference. It is especially significant for me as it will be my first time travelling abroad independently. I believe the experience will help me grow both personally and practically by helping me to build skills such as leadership, adaptability, and cultural awareness, all while shaping me into a more compassionate and well-rounded person who cares deeply about others.

Counting on your support,

Yours sincerely,

Isabel Newman
