Freedom 4 Danny

Danny Quach was taken into custody without warning after living over 50 years in the U.S.—a husband, father, brother, son, and friend to many, now facing deportation to a country he hasn’t known since infancy.

His wife, Mary, and their two children are fighting to stay together through this heartbreaking ordeal. Please help the Quach family cover legal fees, living costs, and the fight to bring Danny home. Every bit counts, and your love, prayers, and support mean the world.

Help Keep the Quach Family Together

In 1975, Danny Quach arrived in the United States from Vietnam as an 8-month-old baby. His parents, like many immigrant families struggling to start anew, never completed the process to make their children U.S. citizens.

When Danny was nineteen, he was playing basketball with friends when a gunshot was fired nearby. No one was hurt—but an ambitious district attorney, eager for headlines, coerced Danny into falsely confessing to firing the shot. Despite multiple witnesses who could prove his innocence, Danny took the fall, being charged with assault of a firearm. He served his sentence, and went on to live an honest, law-abiding life for more than three decades.

For over 30 years, Danny has faithfully checked in with his immigration officer every six months without a single issue. But during his most recent visit on September 18th, everything changed. Without warning, Danny was stunned to find himself taken immediately into custody.

Through Danny, we’ve learned that many of those detained alongside him are not dangerous criminals—they are fathers, mothers, and neighbors who have built lives in America for years. This is not justice; it is a heartbreaking human tragedy that deserves to be told.

Danny and his wife, Mary, have two children who are doing their best to stay strong and brave for their daddy. Just months ago, they were uprooted from the only home they had ever known in Oregon to move to Texas, hoping to be closer to family and help care for Danny’s father, who is battling stage 4 brain and lung cancer. It’s been a difficult transition, but the children are finally starting to establish a rhythm—making new friends, bonding with their cousins, and finding comfort in being surrounded by family.

Then came the devastating news of Danny’s detention and deportation. Overnight, their sense of stability was shattered, and now they face the possibility of having to pack up again—this time not just across the country, but potentially clear across the world with so much uncertainty ahead.

We are seeking donations to help in three critical areas:

Vietnam Transition Support: If deportation proceeds, funds will help Danny and his family adjust to life in a country that is, for all intents and purposes, foreign to them.

Awareness & Advocacy: To share Danny’s story—and others like his—through media and community outreach.

Legal Expenses: To fight for justice, clear Danny’s name, and keep this family together. These long-term fees will cost over $10,000 to represent Danny to get him exonerated.

To ensure your support goes directly to the family without fees, donations can also be made via:

We are a nation of immigrants—each of us connected by the same hope for freedom and opportunity. Please stand with the Quach family and all those fighting simply to stay together.

- Our family is in urgent need of help during this tumultuous time. Every contribution truly makes a HUGE difference. Even a $10 donation is helpful. If you’re unable to give - your prayers, words of encouragement, and sharing of our story mean just as much. Through these storms, we know and trust God has a plan beyond what we can imagine. He's always good, that is what keeps us grounded when our world feels turned upside down. He's always good and always has our back.

Please also feel free to send Danny a letter at the ICE detention facility. This will greatly lift his spirits. Please send to:
