I am a pilot who owns a 2022 Cessna 182 Skylane, and representing other aircraft owners/pilots who purchased from manufacturers and have dealt with issues. I am starting a fight for myself and the Aviation Community to come after aviation manufacturers, repair shops, and the FAA for their GROSS negligence to manage and regulate the manufacturers and repair facilities! They are not held to the standard that we expect as a community. There are better car laws in place for negligent manufacturers than there are for airplane manufacturers. If you buy a bad car, after so many attempts to fix, the "lemon law" goes into effect and the manufacturer has to take back the defective unit. In aviation, this does NOT exist. I have been dealing with so many airplane defects since the day I took possession of the aircraft that almost cost me my life twice and other times where I was smart enough not to take a flight after the repairs were completed because I saw the severity of danger and the possibility of not making it alive.

Manufacturers and the repair facilities that work with manufacturers are jeopardizing our lives as pilots, the public, and everyone who is connected with the aviation community due to a lack of oversight and laws to protect us. How many lives have been lost, or will be lost, because no one is validating that these shops are maintaining the proper standards? As we all know, pilot error is usually the first concept sold to the public, which deflects the blame. I have over 2 years of documented experience of repair shops' negligence, unresolved aircraft issues, and multiple episodes of life-endangering experiences due to negligent or failed repair attempts. We are the people who need to hold shops accountable. We should not have to take the plane to multiple shops over multiple states to remedy issues that should have never escaped the factory floor! As we all take a flight as pilots or passengers, we should not fear for our lives and should have trust in the safety of the aircraft's airworthiness. Changes have to be made in aviation for the safety of the consumers and the community. There are 6 companies working on Flying Cars and AirTaxis currently. How can we feel safe using these services when we cannot even properly regulate and enforce the industry safety standards as they stand now? How can we move forward and prevent tragic losses of friends, family, and loved ones both physically and financially?

I have reached out to 9 News Stations, filed complaints with the FAA, Texas Attorney General, and the US Department of Transportation. We, the people, should hold them accountable!
