Plan
My name is Ava Lussmann and I am 17 years old from Renhold in Bedfordshire.
I am hoping to raise £4,000. I appreciate this is a lot but every pound will help so thank you very much for your support.

The money raised (£4,000) will fund both my trip to Borneo with Camps International (more info see below)
and much-needed funds for my local food bank via the Trussel Trust in Bedfordshire: https://www.trusselltrust.org/
and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative:
Fundraising
The fundraising started in Feb 2023 and ends in June 2024.

The main event will be my row across the breadth of Borneo (1,000 km) over 485 days using an indoor rowing machine rowing approximately 2-3km a day. I am a keen junior rower and a former member of the Bedford rowing club.
I will also volunteer locally in my home village picking up litter every two weeks up and donating my wages from working at Pells Farm shop.
Borneo
I will be involved in several eco-projects helping improve facilities for the rapidly growing population of Bongkud. Projects may include constructing a youth centre, improving the drainage system to ensure cleaner and healthier living and establishing a community farming programme to improve food security and encourage self-sufficiency within the village, without needing to transport supplies from larger towns.
