Ava Kate's Bat Mizvah Project: Purim Playdate
Donation protected
It all starts with Rose. Rosie is one of my favorite people in the world! She has Autism (is on the Autism Spectrum)...and Zoom School has been really hard for her. I am almost 13, which means my Bat-Mitzvah is coming up in May. As part of my journey, I am putting together a Mitzvah Project. I've set my sights on coming up with something that would make Rose's day a little better...and other kids like Rose! My goal is to teach kids from ages 3-10, who are challenged by learning differences, including Autism, the Purim Story...over Zoom. I know, more Zoom. But I have a plan! My Purim Playdate Project will use activities, dancing, wiggle breaks and participation to help keep the Zoom Gloom away!
To make this happen, I need to raise money to buy craft supplies, snacks, etc., to deliver to the kids (and their families) who sign up, before the big event on Feb 21st. I know that this pandemic has been hard on everyone, but online events and holidays have been even harder. They have been even more challenging for my friends, like Rose.
Please help me with my Purim Playdate Project by donating whatever you can. I will be using this program to "prove that it can work" (mama calls it: Proof of Concept). In addition to the Purim Playdate supplies, I am also purchasing basic activity bag supplies so that we can use these for future virtual programs. The idea would be to share this program design (and bags) with area synagogues who also have programs that serve the kids in our community who are learners from across the Autism rainbow!
Thank you so much!
