Support New Orleans Dancers Affected by the Attack on 1.1.25
Donation protected
I am raising money to support my coworkers & peers who work directly on Bourbon street and who witnessed the traumatic events in New Orleans on January 1, 2025. My friends and coworkers are traumatized and in shock. They feared for their lives & the lives of others. They acted bravely & comforted the people who sought shelter in the building. Some of them tried to administer first aid to people who had been shot and run over. They rushed to evacuate and were directly in danger of several IEDs (bombs) which were roughly 10 feet in front of the building. An event like this is psychologically catastrophic, traumatic, unexpected, & detrimental to the wellbeing of the survivors & witnesses. Many of them need time to process, seek counseling, therapies & are in need of support. These people are service industry. They are their own means of production and have no paid time off, no insurance- essentially no plan in place for handling a traumatic event of this magnitude.
If you’d like to make a donation, it will go directly to the 20+ people who were affected by this event & seeking assistance. Funds will go through me & will be directly distributed through each person’s preferred payment method. Please consider making a donation to support their healing process & allow them the time to seek the assistance needed.
