Autumn and Harrison on their IVF Journey

Please help Autumn and Harrison on their IVF journey:

Autumn and Harrison have been fighting infertility for the past couple of years. I met them through our husbands, as they both worked together teaching a course for newly promoted Captains in the Army at Ft. Rucker. Early on in our friendship, I could see the overpouring amount of love they have for children. They are genuinely some of the best people that I know, and I wish nothing more than to be able to help them have a baby of their own. Unfortunately, even though Harrison is on active duty in the Army, the military's medical insurance (TRICARE) does not cover any cost of Infertility treatments, medications, visits, and travel. The funds from this will be going towards all treatments, medications, and doctor's visits that insurance does not cover. IVF is the next step for Autumn and Harrison, so I would like to raise money to help ease their burden in this journey. I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for reading this and for all the support for Autumn and Harrison through prayers and/or donations in this time of need. We appreciate you so much.

Words from Autumn:

Hi! We are Harrison and Autumn Moder and most of you know us but some of you may not know the journey we’ve been on for the last three and half years.
Shortly after Harrison and I got married he deployed to Afghanistan. We decided that we would start trying for a child immediately upon his return. I was diagnosed with stage IV Endometriosis when I was 15 and we knew that I would need to have surgery prior to us starting a family.
I had the surgery and everything went well and our doctor immediately started us on medicated cycles to get pregnant. We were unsuccessful for a year and a half.
In 2020 we moved to Alabama in the midst of that and immediately found a new doctor and we began another round of medicated cycles on a different medication. After four rounds we finally found out we were pregnant!! Everything was going great and when we went in for our first ultrasound, we were so happy to find out that we were actually pregnant with TWINS! We were ecstatic and so thankful that God had blessed us with two babies! Unfortunately, at 9 weeks we heard the dreaded words, “I am so sorry we can’t find their heartbeats.” We had miscarried our beautiful twins. We were devastated to say the least.
After my body had healed, we began trying again and after 3 rounds of medication we found out we were pregnant again but at our 6-week ultrasound they couldn’t find a heartbeat. We were crushed.
My doctor then ordered a full genetic panel on both Harrison and I to try and figure out if there was something going on chromosomally that could be causing the recurrent pregnancy loss. Unfortunately, they found that I was a carrier for something called fragile X and we were referred to a specialist.
We started seeing the fertility specialist where they ran numerous comprehensive tests. It was then that we received the distressing news that my body had low ovarian reserve due to being a carrier of fragile x and that we were running out of time. Essentially that means that my body is running out of eggs and our only option was to start IVF immediately. What this also means is that my body may or may not respond to IVF medication and we will probably need more than one round of IVF. One round right after the other, in order to get a healthy embryo.
Unfortunately, our insurance doesn’t cover anything related to fertility. So, every expense related to IVF will come out of pocket. IVF is extremely expensive and we were quoted $25,000+ for just one round. The amount of medication that we will need for my diagnosis will be extremely hard on my body physically and emotionally but we know that God has called us to be parents and we trust that He is faithful.
He has walked with us throughout this entire painful journey and we know that He will be faithful to see us through. Harrison and I both long to be parents and we are asking our friends and family to help us do that if you can. We need your prayers and your financial support. Our journey thus far has been so incredibly hard and expensive but we know that God isn’t through with our story. We know that He has a plan for us and that His plan is good. We are hoping that you will join with us on our journey to get our rainbow baby
