Auntie LaLa’s Trust for Elizabeth and Blair Speer
Donation protected
Grieving the loss of my sister will never get easier. There will never be a day in my life moving forward that I do not think of her. The only solace I have right now is her little girls, who remind me so much of her. Blair, 5 years old, is her “mini me” and Ellie, 8 years old, shares a love for all things mommy did.
My sister was super mom. She worked long hours at emergency rooms and urgent cares as a Physician Assistant to give her little girls the world. While working these long hours, she also was the class mom and involved in every aspect of her children’s lives at school. The girls were also involved in dance and gymnastics, and, they would’ve lived at Disney World, if that was an option. It will take a village to pick up where she left off.
Our family decided to set up a trust for the girl’s future. Whether it be education opportunities, health concerns, or financial hardships, we want to do what we can to help them financially. Any donation would be helpful as they move forward with their father, now a single parent.
As her sister, her “twin”, the girls tell me that I look like mommy. Not only am I willing to be that reminder for them, I am also willing to keep investing in their lives and future the way Lindsay would have wanted us to. I want to make sure they have security as we move into our new normal. There is nothing we can do to bring Lindsay back, but whatever I can do moving forward to help these two little angels, I am going to do.
