Auburn South PS families impacted by the events of Oct 29

DONATIONS WELCOME TO SUPPORT FAMILIES IMPACTED BY TRAGIC INCIDENT AT AUBURN SOUTH PRIMARY SCHOOL

A GoFundMe page has been set up by the Auburn South Primary School Parents’ Association to support families impacted by the tragic incident at their school on Tuesday 29 October.

Monies raised via the platform will be used to provide practical support to the students and families as they heal and recover from Tuesday’s incident. The Parents Association will meet on 13th November 2024, and in consultation with the the families will decide on the fairest distribution of the funds across the impacted families.

UPDATE 13/11/2024: The PA have decided to meet on the 27th November after consultation with the families to decide on distribution.

The support that has been received by the school so far from its community has been overwhelming, with offers of additional support being received from far and wide.

Not only has the school lost one of its beloved students, but four other students are currently rehabilitating from significant injuries. The impacts of this trauma on all of these families and their immediate networks are huge and will be long lasting.

The school hopes that additional funds raised can help these families by alleviating some of their pressure, and enable them to focus on what’s most important to them right now.

The Auburn South Primary School community has always had a strong heartbeat, but now more than ever before they are gathering together to support each other during this devastating time.
