Help A Soldier Get Back on the Road

Hello. My name is Kylie and I'm creating this gofundme to help my husband repair his truck, or to possibly get him another vehicle. This truck has been in his family since 2003. It was given to him by his brother 5 years ago when our 1st daughter was born. We were going through a difficult financial time and he previously had to give up his newer truck right before his deployment to Afghanistan because he could no longer afford to make the payments. But this truck did its job, and it helped us out over the past few years. The passenger window motor eventually broke, the center console cracked, the fabric lining on the inside of the roof started hanging low, but it still ran, so my husband didnt give up on it. A few months ago it completely died. Not even jump starting it would get it to turn on. We had a tow truck take it to a local auto shop and we were sadly told that it needs an entirely new engine.

My husband works so incredibly hard. He's been in the military for ten years now and he wakes up everyday and gives 200%. In the past few years alone, he went to Ranger school and passed with flying colors. He went to and graduated from Airborne school, he won the Best Squad Competition, and now he's away re-classing to a different MOS so that he can provide a better life for me and our girls once his time in the military comes to an end. And he's been taking online college classes throughout it all. He has allowed me to stay home with our daughters which has always been a dream of mine. We don't go on vacations, or splurge on date nights or live beyond our means. We barely have enough the for groceries each month. I even started a small business from home to help make money, but we just cannot afford to get this truck fixed on our own or get another vehicle. He's been gone for 4 months now (and still has a couple more months to go until he graduates) but he's been using my car, and i'm at home having to have groceries delivered to the house and hoping a child doesn't get sick or break a bone because I'll have no way to get them to the hospital. I know this deeply bothers him, and he always talks about how he really wishes his truck didn't die on him or that we had enough money to get another car/truck. My husband is very proud (and so am I) so we never ask for help. But here I am coming to GoFundMe to see if there's anything I can do.

If I reach my goal, will be able to get a new engine, which we were quoted about $6K-$7K for (including labor) and then I'll be able to get his window fixed and the interior fabric re-done. If his truck is too beyond repair, I'd love to at least be able to get him a pre-owned or used vehicle from Carmax.
