No Cell Tower on Starkey K-8 Grounds

The community of Starkey Ranch, Odessa Florida is concerned over the placement of a new 4G/5G cell wireless tower that is proposed to be placed on the Starkey Ranch K-8 school property. The funds from this account will go towards the $5,000 retainer needed to hire an attorney with expertise in this field to help ensure this tower does not happen.

The concern is over the potential health risks to the 1500+ children that attend Starkey K-8 Elementary School, the staff and educators at Starkey K-8 school, and the neighboring residents. Anyone that lives, works or plays within a 1,640 foot radius of the tower is at especially increased risk for future health complications related to the radiation emitted from the tower and its antennas. The harmful EMF radiation heats body tissue, causes cancer, and endangers our children. Scientists suggest children’s exposure to this type of radiation be reduced.

Residents, families of students and all those enjoying Starkey Ranch will be impacted if a cell tower is approved. Please help us raise the funds needed to retain a powerful attorney to help in our efforts in moving this tower to a safer location.

In the event we end up not needing to use all of the funds raised here (if the project is canceled early in our efforts) we will donate the remaining funds to a mutually agreed upon organization/cause.
