Atticus' End of Life Care
Donation protected
Atticus was the first ever dog I fostered. In 2023, he showed up at my door as a skeleton; terrified, thin and covered in scars with broken teeth.
Over the months he was with me, we worked through his heartworm and started to learn the world wasn't so scary (and had lots of toys). I didn't know much about his past, but I knew that his original name- Monster- didn't fit.
Atty has always been a sweet boy. And when his owners, Seth and Ken, arrived to adopt him, he found his chance to shine.
He now tours Fortitude Valley and happily greets all he meets, and has even become the 'grandpa' dog at doggy daycare that greets the nervous and shy dogs. All he wants to do is love and be loved.
After surviving a return of his heartworm, he met his girlfriend (who he visits every other day) and has been living his best life- a far cry from a dog dumped in the north.
Two days ago, the vet found an inoperable, aggressive cancer deep in his lungs. Now, our lil smoosh has been given 3-12 months left to live. Atticus is not old. He is a happy, loving boy who has finally found his home after so much suffering.
Any money donated will be gratefully used to pay for his vet bills, for which Seth and Ken are rapidly accruing.
I know his owners will go to great lengths to ensure his comfort, so any amount to help ease Atty's passing will be so appreciated.
Thank you,
Maddy
