Atlas Den1 - Denver Community Impact Project

Hunger exists in every corner of Colorado, and it affects people from all walks of life. Feeding America estimates that food insecurity in Colorado has increased by nearly 20% due to the pandemic. That means 1 in 8 people—almost 700,000 of our neighbors, including nearly 185,000 children—is unable to access the food they need, an increase from 1 in 10 in 2019. Even more startling is the clear inequities along racial and demographic lines when examining hunger and income loss.

To fight food insecurity, our Atlas Project team (the founding team of Denver) is committed to raising $30,000 by April 28, 2022.  The funds raised will empower The Food Bank of the Rockies to continue to support the residents of Denver as well as other communities throughout Colorado and Wyoming with food and nutrition security.  Every dollar raised will provide four meals to our community members. There is a dollar-for-dollar match available until April 30th, giving us the opportunity to double our impact.

Our efforts will also result in a mural that will bring our vision of abundance, healing, and joy to life in downtown Denver. The mural will include a QR code that will continue to generate funds for The Food Bank of the Rockies for years to come. Our art is a joyous way to embody the well-being and Whole Being of the people of Denver while also contributing to the Denver economy.

We hope that you choose to support our fight against food insecurity, as no one should go hungry. We couldn't do this without you and your support.
