Atlanta Transit Angels - Grannies Respond
Donation protected
After trials beyond imagining, asylum seekers leave the border areas en route to their sponsors. All they have at this point in their journey is a paid ticket and a plastic bag of whatever the valiant volunteers at the border charities have been able to provide. By the time we see them in Atlanta, they have been on the road for 20 or more hours, and many have at least that long a journey ahead.
Since they have no money, we step in at a low point in their long odyssey by supplying food, baby needs, hygiene supplies, legal information, low level medical help and ticketing assistance. Giving a cranky three-year-old a plush toy can save the day for an exhausted mom or dad, and they are hungry too. We supply the friendly faces free of charge, but the food and supplies cost actual money, so please help Atlanta Transit Angels be that welcoming face of America with your donation now.
