Hello, this is the Atkinson County Training School Monument Committee. In March 2023, Dr. Homer and Mrs. Caroline Day were inspired to begin this most valuable project to commemorate and honor the individuals who attended the historical Atkinson County Training School. The Atkinson County Training School was the first and only educational institution for African-Americans in Atkinson County. The committee has began the project with much excitement and enthusiasm; however to ensure that the project is completed, we are soliciting financial help and support with this important endeavor.
