We live in a wonderful community and sometimes unfortunate accidents happen. I have spoken with many local people about the needs of the Lions Club and we all agreed it was important to help them raise funds to substitute for one of their largest fundraising events. This event, put on by the Athol Lions Club, has taken place safely and successfully for the past 25 years and is one of their biggest sources of funding. The Athol Lions Club provides crucial support to our community including: providing glasses & hearing aids for those in need, purchase adaptive equipment (computers, tablets, etc.) to improve quality of life for sight & hearing impaired, provide financial support for programs such as D.A.R.E, Athol’s Council on Aging, the YMCA and so much more.

Please help us in an effort to raise money for the Athol Lions Club, which has now been faced with refunding all tickets sold and canceling the remainder of this event. We wish for the speedy recovery of all who were injured in last night’s accident. We know many people have already refused refunds or have also donated as additional ways of showing support. Also, other local business people have agreed to cover any gofundme expenses so that all donations are received directly by the Athol Lions Club.
