Atheists Helping Homeless Charlotte storage 2024

Tax deductible
EDIT: I increased the goal a bit from last year because we now have a trailer, which is going to make the giveaways way awesomer, but will have some extra costs (maintenance, registration, etc)

For nearly a decade, "Atheists Helping the Homeless - Charlotte" has served the community providing toiletries, clothes, and food to our housing-insecure neighbors.

Three years ago, AHH rented a storage unit to store our inventory. Having all our goods in one place has been of great use to AHH.
  • Goods are accessible to multiple volunteers at any time, ensuring that the giveaways aren't dependent on any one individual.
  • Donations are easier to inventory, ensuring we spend our money on what we most need.
  • More room allows for more bulk purchases, allowing us to stretch every dollar further.
  • As an unforeseen consequence, it has given us a drop-off location. The staff at Outbox Storage is supportive of our work, and is always happy to take donations to our unit when a donor brings bags and boxes to their office!

Having this storage unit gives us fewer logistics to worry about so we can focus our efforts on helping the community. So I hope you'll help us keep it going for a fourth year!

We are one of several AHH chapters who operate under the 501c3 corporation "Charity Beyond Belief", so CBB will be hosting the fundraiser. If we surpass the cost of the lease, the funds will go toward more toiletries and clothes for our clients.

Thanks so much for your help! If you'd like to find out more about our group, you can find more info here: https://linktr.ee/ahhcharlotte
