Assalamu Alaikum dear brothers and sisters!

With immense joy and gratitude to Allah (SWT), we at Aston Islamic Society are delighted to announce that we will be hosting Iftar during weekdays for students who will be on-campus during the blessed month. However, to carry out this noble effort, we kindly seek your support as the Muslim community of Aston University.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us achieve our goal of supporting our Muslim students during Ramadan and beyond. Remember, charity does not decrease wealth. As Allah (SWT) states in the Quran: “The example of those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah is that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears, each bearing one hundred grains. And Allah multiplies ˹the reward even more˺ to whoever He wills. For Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing.” (2:261)

We humbly request your assistance in fundraising for this initiative and to share in its abundant reward. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized the virtue of feeding those who are fasting, saying:

"Whoever helps a fasting person to break their fast, they will have the same reward as the fasting person, without any decrease in the reward of the fasting person" (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 807).

Through your generous support, we aim to create a warm, welcoming environment where students can break their fast together, strengthen community bonds, and experience the true spirit of Ramadan. Your contribution will help provide nutritious meals, dates, and refreshments for our fasting students, ensuring they have a proper meal to break their fast.

In addition, we would also like to appeal for support towards the upkeep costs of our ISoc, which is essential in providing a platform for our Muslim students to come together for prayer, social events, educational events and other beneficial activities. Ang remaining funds from the iftar fundraising will be allocated to maintaining and improving these vital Isoc facilities and services.

We pray that Allah (SWT) multiplies your rewards, accepts your generous contributions, and grants you success in both this world and the hereafter. May he make this a means of gaining his pleasure and attaining paradise.
