sono Laura, una specializzanda in psichiatria e sono appena rientrata da una fantastica esperienza presso l’Associazione Saint Camille in Togo. L’associazione si occupa di patologie psichiatriche in un contesto dove i malati mentali sono lasciati ai margini della società.

L’associazione a Zooti accoglie circa 250 ricoverati e provvede alle cure ambulatoriali per più di 8000 pazienti.

L’obiettivo sarebbe quello di assumere nuovi infermieri locali per garantire e migliorare le cure fornite.

I am Laura, a psychiatry resident and I have just returned from a fantastic experience at the Saint Camille Association in Togo. The association deals with psychiatric pathologies in a context where the mentally ill are left on the margins of society.

The association in Zooti welcomes about 250 inpatients and provides outpatient care for more than 8000 patients.

The goal would be to hire new local nurses to guarantee and improve the care provided.
