Assisting Asians Impacted By Pandemic

Every community and household has been affected by the pandemic, large and small. Asians have been severely impacted as many were workers or owners in the hospitality industry (restaurants, bakeries, hotels, salons etc.) which have not been able to recover from the impact of government shutdowns and have faced depressed business due to the anxiety regarding the virus. This has forced many to become homeless or hungry. NYC's homeless Asian population has become highly visible when just a short time ago, it was almost non-existent. Asians are very vulnerable right now as many are immigrants, fearful to speak up due to their status and have language barriers. Additionally, Asians have not been included in the city's "racial inclusion and equity task force" to support entrepreneurs of color. It seems, in this city's recovery plan, Asians are not counted as a minority and are left to suffer in silence and fend for themselves. I posted a Tik Tok video regarding this issue and so many compassionate people commented, wanting to help in some way or make a donation. It is my understanding that a lot of monetary donations that go to non-profit or charity organizations cover expenditures of the organization. Any donations to this GoFundMe account will go to purchasing food or household needs to be delivered to the local food banks so that they have more supply to reach the people in the back of the lines, waiting for help. The food and household goods will go to all people in need and affected by this pandemic including Asian Americans.
