Nathan’s Journey

From the time I found out I was pregnant, I felt something different about the pregnancy. Although I couldn’t understand or know why I knew this child was special. When we were told at our first ultrasound all about his anatomy, and his very complex heart, the doctors said he had no chance of surviving after birth.. But God, had a plan for his life! Nathan has had his first heart surgery at 2 weeks old, followed by many other surgeries to correct his intestines, to help him breathe by placing a treach, and many other heart procedures to fix the heart rate! He just had his last of the 3 open heart surgeries!

Nathan has surpassed the age and beat the odds of everything the doctors and specialist said he will not and could not live with the heart and anatomy he was born with.. we know and believe that only God has brought him this far for a reason, He has a plan for Nathan’s life and his life is a testimony! It is not easy living and seeing so much suffering he has to endure and learn to live with his special tubes and when he needs to slow down because his heart can’t take it, but God gives us the strength to take one day at a time and be grateful for each moment we have!

Church of Hope members are raising funds for this family. We will have bake sale at our church and all the proceeds that we raise, we will donate to this family. Since Nathan recently had surgery, his mom has to take care of him and is unable to work.
