My mom recently had her longtime friend and roommate pass away unexpectedly. They shared expenses, and unfortunately, it is not financially feasible for my mom to stay at her current apartment alone. As many of you know, my dad passed away 3 1/2 years ago, and my mom has a small fixed income.

Her lease must be broken, and there is no exception to the financial penalty for that of approximately $3200. She also will need to pay for fees/deposit associated with a new apartment as well as moving expenses. If anyone is able to assist her during this incredibly sad and difficult time, we would be greatly appreciative.
