On august 17th Tiffany VanAvery tragically lost her husband, Kevin.

On July 12th 2023 Kevin started to complain about pain in his abdomen. Within a week or so they found out that Kevin had lesions on his lung and liver. He had non small cell carcinoma.

The doctors assured Kevin they could start treatment as soon as possible. Although it was scary everyone seemed very optimistic. Over the next two weeks the pain became unbearable and Kevin was admitted to Rhode Island hospital. The doctors told Kevin, “the cancer has exploded, we are so sorry.” Tiffany was told to have the family come in to say their goodbyes because they truly didn’t know how long he would have.

6 very short yet brutal days later Kevin passed away with his wife by his side. 36 days is all they had from the time they found out he had cancer to his passing. There was almost no time to even process he had cancer. There was barely any time to get their affairs in order.

Tiffany is a stay at home mom with two beautiful little girls, Sophia (5) & Vivian (4). They now have to learn how to navigate life without their father. Tiffany has to learn how to live without the love of her life. This go fund me is set up to help them with any finances that will come their way in the next couple of years. They were caught totally off guard and now Tiffany must take on all his medical bills as well as all the finances for their home and their girls.

For those of you who knew Kevin, you know he took pride in taking care of his family. Any amount helps ease some of the stress that Tiffany will endure during the upcoming year. My hope is that this can help Tiffany and her girls so that she can grieve properly without having to worry about the financial burden. The sudden loss of her husband is hard enough.
