Assistance for Gina's Immediate Expenses Fund

Dear Friends

As a result of the Texas freezing storm this week, my sister Gina’s Houston home has had a burst pipe and now the upstairs ceiling has caved into the downstairs master bedroom and water damage has been incurred on the first floor. This of course makes the house inhabitable for a while. So Gina and my 23-year old nephew with severe autism, Eric, and his caregivers have been staying in a hotel this week nearby and making the best of it until the insurance steps in.

Since the insurance companies are currently inundated with so many similar situations, Gina’s insurance claim may take a while to come through. In the meantime, she has had to pay out-of-pocket for the daily hotel rooms, Eric’s 24-hour caregivers’ salaries/food per diems, her and Eric’s food takeouts/deliveries, etc. and later on she will need to pay the large home insurance deductible for her home repair which may take weeks to complete.

In addition, this has become even a more stressful situation due to the fact that Eric is not used to this change of environment and his daily routine has been hugely affected.

We are asking for your assistance in helping to get my sister some immediate financial relief while she navigates this unexpected hardship. It will be nice to show her and Eric a tangible way of support until she gets her various affairs in order and until the insurance starts to kick in eventually.

We are also asking for your prayers for our merciful Lord to lift up Gina, Eric, and his caregivers and shower them with His graces, accompany them during these trying times, and put kind and competent insurance people in Gina's path who will help speed up her solution. In Jesus' Name, we pray.
