An Angel left us... Selah was a beautiful soul that would walk her way into your life and leave an everlasting impression of love, life, and pure happiness. Tragically, she was called away in an accident on 09/29/2025. While traveling to see her doctors in Richmond, Virginia, Selah's mom was hit in an intersection off of Route 360 East coming from Halifax, Virginia. Selah's grandmother, Chancie Powell, was also a passenger in the car, and both Selah and Chancie were airlifted to hospitals nearby. The family struck into action; some went to Roanoke's Children's Hospital immediately to be there for Selah, while others traveled to Duke in North Carolina to be with Chancie, her grandmother. All the while, Zykeria, Selah's mom, was in another hospital in Halifax, Virginia. Hours after the accident, Zykeria was discharged and made her way to be with Selah. We prayed... We cried... We asked why... But FAITH persevered. Sadly to us, Selah left her mom, father, grandparents, and family to be with the Lord.

Zykeria, aka "Zyi," had to be strong for her daughter and her mother, and that is EXACTLY what she did. Now it is time for us to help her. This young woman's life has been turned upside down in the blink of an eye. She now has to be there for her mom to recover while taking in the pain that her beloved 4-year-old Selah is no longer here.
