Settling the estate of a loved one who has passed is a complicated and expensive process. Ravnos and Fox, despite both being employed full-time, cannot afford the fees required in addition to their current monthly expenses, home repairs, and medical bills. Because the estate involves properties in two different states (SC and NY), two lawyers need to be hired. There will be significant travel expenses accrued to manage these properties — including airline fares and gas money for traveling back and forth to the family's former residence.
We're fundraising here to cover the lawyers' fees, court fees, travel costs, a portion of the deceased's outstanding debts, and to assist in covering the incidental costs of this process.
To begin the process, the SC lawyer's retainer fee is $3000. The initial fee owed to the NY lawyer is $750. More will be required, but the amounts are currently unknown.
We will update this GFM when we have more detailed information on what expenses need to be covered and where the money was used.
