On Sunday, August 17th, Sean was admitted to the ICU at Emory Hospital in Decatur. His brother, Riley, was with him and called for an ambulance that night. Sean is now in an induced coma as doctors treat esophageal cirrhosis and other medical complications. His condition is fragile and we are taking it day by day. Please hold Sean in your thoughts and prayers.
A few of us visited Sean yesterday, August 25th. We were able to get some clarifications from the nurses. Unfortunately Sean’s situation is continued to get more dire. Technically he is not officially on hospice but they have taken him off dialysis as his liver is shutting down and unable to be maintained via the machine. While there is still a small statistical change of improvement the unfortunate reality is that Sean is likely to pass in the coming days. He is being made comfortable and being allowed to have friends come and have their visits. Continues prayers are of course appreciated.
If you would like to visit Sean or send something, the hospital's address is Emory Decatur - 2701 N Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA 30033. We will post updates as his condition changes. Please do not call hospital. Takes away time from staff helping patients.
We also wanted to let you know that Brandon has been cremated and is now with God. The funds raised have been used for several immediate needs: covering Brandon's end-of-life expenses and paying for the past due HOA fees, property taxes, and utilities for the condo where Sean was living. These funds also helped with food and cleaning of the condo. TR has since moved into the condo, giving him a safe place to live after he had been living in his car.
We'll plan a memorial service for Brandon in the future, but our current priority is supporting Sean and helping Riley through this difficult & challenging period.
On Tuesday, July 15th, Brandon Cash passed away at his home. Brandon was currently living with Sean Cash, his brother, at their mother's old condo in Decatur. As you know, Katie passed on July 29, 2024, from a second round of cancer. Terry, their father passed away back in 2012.
Most of you all who are receiving this grew up around the Cash family and got to know and love them over the years.
We are raising money for the family so Sean & Riley (TR) can handle services for Brandon and other costs on this sad occasion and deal with these financial challenges.
Feel free to reach out to me if needed. We appreciate your support & love.
Thanks,
