Hello All,

My name is Eman and I’m a Canadian-Palestinian woman reaching out with a plea that carries the weight of generations and family. My brother, Osama residing in Gaza with his wife and six children, face an unimaginable struggle. On October 9, they were forced to flee their home in Gaza City leaving nothing but the echoes of destruction behind them.

My nieces and nephews endure the harsh consequences of polluted surroundings, lack of clean water, and insufficient food. The healthcare system is beyond their reach, leaving them extremely vulnerable.

Despite this, we have been given an opportunity to bring them to Canada through a temporary visa, and we are doing everything we can to make this possible. 

The three-year temporary residency visa is not just a document; it is a lifeline for my family, and the only one we have left. As their anchor in Canada, I bear the responsibility of ensuring their housing, sustenance, and well-being during their stay.

While I am confident in their ability to rebuild their lives once they arrive, the financial burden on me as their anchor is substantial. It is with humility and a sense of urgency that I reach out to friends, family, coworkers, and anyone willing to extend a helping hand.

The $20,000 we are looking to collect is just a fraction of the amount they will need to get on their feet. But your contribution, no matter how modest, will make a significant impact. I am not expecting much from individuals, just a small donation or re-share amongst your circles.

Together, I am looking to cover the costs of:

• Rafah Border Coordination Fees

• Flight Costs

• 2 week- 1 month stay in Egypt (while they finish their biometrics and wait to obtain their visas)
