Assist Savannah Artist's Journey to Independence

I'm sure all of my friends have known me as a Savannah artist for many years, painting expressionistic coastal and island landscapes. Well, just yesterday, a last minute and wonderful opportunity to return to Savannah presented itself and I am scrambling for funds for the move, which is scheduled next Friday, August 23.

A few words that may help you understand my situation. I have dealt with agoraphobia my entire life, where I've had to ask for rides to all kinds of places. I'll even need someone to drive my car and Sapphy (my kitty) to Savannah. My phobia has made life in Augusta difficult and almost impossible to manage. However, in Savannah, where I lived from 2006 to 2016, I was able to meet at least 95% of my needs myself driving the convenient grid/squares in downtown. There, I have access to grocery stores, ART SUPPLY STORES, and doctors. I'll be living at the Telfair Arms, a subsidized housing facility for lower income seniors. Most importantly, I'll be close to the majority of my customers and locations where I can photograph what I need to paint.

I do not like asking for money, and it humbles me to share my mental health issue for the purpose of fundraising, but if you know me, you know I'm telling the truth of my situation. It is imperative to get me back at the easel and to be the independent person I am when I'm not having to drive on highways. The apartment I'm moving into (800sf) has over twice as much space as where I am now (365 sf), so I'll be able to get my easel and art supplies out of storage and finally get back to oils. I know what I have to do.
