Dear Friends and Community,

We are reaching out to share that our dear lifelong elder friends, Harvey and Susan Ruderian; their dogs Ren and Theo and cat, Pippa, lost their home and belongings in the Palisades Fire.

Their original home was lost in the 1993 Malibu Fire. They were able to re-inhabit the land by using a park trailer, as the cost to rebuild from the ground up was prohibitive.

Susan and Harvey have said, “As we consider the rebuild of our life together on the land we love, we are accepting this next chapter as a challenge and opportunity for growth.”

To meet their challenge, Harvey and Susan will need to replace such essential items as bed and linens, clothing, pet supplies, household goods, furniture, stationery, and much, much more.

Any support you can offer through donations or sharing this post would mean the world to them as they courageously embark on this journey.

If we exceed our goal, the additional funds will go towards unexpected expenses and/or reconstruction of their home.

The Wainman Family are lifelong friends of the Ruderian Family.

Michael Wainman met and became lifelong friends/brothers with Harvey Ruderian at Palisades High School in the early '60s. And our families have been close ever since.

We live in West Los Angeles/Brentwood.

Funds will be transferred directly to Susan and Harvey Ruderian for use at their discretion, and we will update donors regularly.
