Hi! My name is Danette and I am friend of Rick Olivares. On July 4th 2022 Rick took myself and a group of friends out-on Lady Bird Lake to enjoy the fireworks from our paddle boards. Earlier that day he had lent us an extra paddle board without question and acted as our tour guide on the water because that’s the kind of person Rick is!

Rick’s car keys fell in the water and in the process of retrieving his car he realized his car had been stolen.

The police have not found the stolen vehicle and Rick’s insurance is not covering a dime. We all have bad luck sometimes but Rick was already dealing with a heavy loss and this is an added weight that can bring a person to their knees. If enough of us have a few extra dollars to pitch in for Rick it could make a huge difference for his situation and lift some of this extra weight off his shoulders.

The amount of $7000 is the amount Rick could have sold his car for which he was planning to do right before this happened.
