Help Lilia's Mom Be with Grandpa in Texas

Hey everyone.

My name is Lilia and my mom/family is in need of some help for bills and travel expenses. So I am reaching out on behalf of my mom. We need to get her out to Texas as soon as possible to be with our family for a little while.

Our grandpa was hospitalized 3 weeks ago after developing pneumonia. They did a chest X-ray and found fluid in his lung and attempted to drain it a few days ago. They did another chest X-ray this morning and said he still has fluid going into his lung and they wanted to go in again and drain it. But ultimately they determined the procedure would cause too much strain on his heart and body. So now his children and my grandma have to make decisions for his care going forward.

My family is not one to ask for handouts; we are very hard-working and prideful people. We always figure things out on our own. But right now is not the time to be prideful. We totally understand the holidays left everyone with little to no spending money. But I want to ask anyone who can, if you have anything to spare, it would be greatly appreciated. Or even just sharing this post would help so much!

We just don’t want our mom to be burdened over financial problems right now. She is one of the hardest-working ladies and most giving people I know. She does so much for our family and all of the people around her. She is the biggest supporter and provider in our home. But she will be out of work so she can be with her siblings and our grandmother (who also needs assistance with certain daily tasks). So again, I ask, if anyone can spare or even just share my post, it would be greatly appreciated right now. And we would also appreciate anyone who sends prayers and positive thoughts to our grandpa and his loved ones. We could use all the love and support we can get at this time.
