Helping Hannah and Susan after their accident

Hi, on February 25th this year my mom and my two oldest children were in a car accident that has changed our lives forever. They were in a head on collision on highway 98 in Gulf Breeze, my mom broke both of her legs and completely crushed her right heel. She also broke a few ribs, one of her hands and her chest. She has had several operations on her legs/foot and also faced issues with infections in her foot.

My oldest daughter, Hannah received the worst of it. She was 6 years old at the time and she received a high level spinal cord injury and she is now paralyzed from the neck down. Hannah has undergone many procedures since the accident. She received spinal fusion surgery at the C2-C3 level that saved her life. She also had a tracheostomy placed because after the accident her diaphragm was paralyzed making her ventilator dependent. Thankfully Hannah was approved for a procedure in Gainesville Florida which inserted a diaphragmatic pacemaker to help her become less ventilator dependent. Which it did, Hannah breathes completely on her own now thankfully. Hannah also underwent a procedure that placed a G tube in her stomach which is essentially a feeding tube. Hannah can eat now but her G tube is still placed. Another procedure Hannah had, removed 11 stones from her bladder which is a result from the paralysis.

Hannah spent 7 months in the hospital and was finally discharged on September 19th. I’m making this GoFundMe to offer financial relief to my mother and also to help with the furniture that is needed for Hannah at my house & to accommodate her transportation needs. Hannah’s dad and I have shared custody of her and unfortunately insurance is not designed for split families. Thank you to anyone who can donate to our cause!!!
