If you’ve clicked the link to get here, you knew my Dad in one way or another. Jim Brooks passed away on June 5th, 2024 after being in the hospital for two weeks. He battled against liver disease and kidney failure. Ultimately, we decided to respect my Dad’s wishes and let him pass peacefully.

Dad meant so much to Kim and I. He was not only a father to me, but a father to so many friends, family and others. He was not only a husband to Kim, but a friend, a partner and so much more. We remember him through our stories and music.

We are asking our friends and family not to buy any flowers, or gifts. We are asking for donations to help assist us in paying for a restful place for my Dad to take the longest nap. All proceeds will go to Kim Brooks, Dad’s wife and best friend.

The funeral and celebration of life will be hosted at the Perez Family Funeral Home in Ventura on the weekend of June 28th - June 30th. Please visit their website for more updates as the event gets closer.
