Assist Family Facing Diabetes Challenges

On March 8th, 2025 my daughter, my son in law and my 3 year old grandsons lives changed forever. My grandson was flown from UPMC to Hershey and placed in the PICU due to going into DKA(Diabetic Ketone Acidosis), his sugar was 365 when they flew him out he was white and gray and barley able to stay awake.Upon reaching Hershey they discovered he is a Type 1 diabetic and he will need insulin for the rest of his life because his body produces none, which means 4 shots a day. This being said they are all home now but are facing financial struggles due to missing work, the hospital bill’s (which insurance will only cover part of), and his insulin ( which is $517 AFTER insurance). They have applied for my grandson to be on Medicare but that application takes time and they will need to pay for his medication out of pocket until the Medicare is approved, which can take up to 45 days. So I was hoping in the least to raise enough to cover 2 months of mortgage and 2 months of insulin just to be safe. If you can donate any amount it would be appreciated! Even if you cannot donate please continue to pray for my grandson, daughter and son in law as they continue to navigate this new normal.
