Assist Cameroonians in Crisis
Donation protected
Many of you know Martin, our dear friend who risked his life to come to America from Cameroon in search of peace and freedom. While Martin was fortunate to make it here and win asylum, his family, friends, and neighbors that remain in Cameroon are still face grave danger. The humanitarian crisis continues to worsen day by day, week by week, with the government and police forces burning down houses, schools and shops in English speaking regions. A brief summary of the situation can be found here: https://www.dw.com/en/cameroon-anglophone-conflict-five-years-on/a-59363797
Many people cannot get food or basic necessities to survive right now. Martin is humbly asking for any assistance you can provide so that he can do what little he and we can to help his countrymen and women. He is in contact with local community leaders and will ensure the money goes directly to the impacted people to secure food, clothing and medicine.
I have included 2 very recent videos that show fires set by police and military in Bamenda, one of the main cities in English speaking Cameroon (Ambazonia). Martin has numerous other videos he received, but they are very graphic and disturbing, so I hesitate to share them here.
Thank you very much for your consideration and generosity. Hopefully we can help make this holiday season slightly better for people in incredibly difficult circumstances.
