Cameron Kunyavsky is a 15-year-old varsity member of Southlake High School’s
Dragons Ice Hockey team and a member of one of the travel teams from NYTEX Sports
Center in North Richland Hills, Texas. He has been blessed with a focus and
determination for growth in his ice hockey skills. Ice hockey has been his passion since
he was 6 years old.
In June, an accident on the ice caused him to be sent to the emergency room with two
broken bones in his ankle and ligament damage. He will need surgery and 6 to 9
months of physical therapy to recuperate.
The family does not go to the doctor unless it is an emergency, so they have to meet the
annual family deductible of $8000 plus 20% of all other expenses such as the
emergency room and physical therapy. Each visit also incurs a co-pay of $40.
Our goals are to first get Cameron healed and maintain his mental strength during this
process. Secondly, his goal is to be as strong or stronger than he was previously so he
can return to the ice and continue to develop as a strong hockey player.
Financial support would be appreciated – but your prayers for complete healing to get
him back on the ice are also requested.
Our goal: $20,000
