My name is Basel Al-Kahlout, and I am a Palestinian from northern Gaza. Today, I come to you with an urgent appeal that comes straight from my heart. My family and I are in desperate need of your support, and time is of the essence. Like any young man, I have dreams, aspirations and a desire for a better life, not only for me but also for my family, which consists of 9 people, my parents, my grandfather, my grandmother, my brothers and my sisters, but the Israeli occupation has cast a shadow on our hopes, making achieving our goals very difficult. The Israeli occupation ended our dreams in Gaza, and I did not know that this work would put a target on my shoulder. The occupation responded by demolishing our homes: my family’s home, my home, and my brother’s home. We have nothing left, and we face the harsh reality of displacement. We were displaced from the north of Gaza to the south in Khan Yunis, and we were displaced again to Rafah. But there is a glimmer of hope amidst this
