Have you ever dreamed of exploring every corner of your town, through the ages? The house your nana was born in. The old building that stood where the supermarket is now. Google Maps captured the present. I am building the engine to capture the past.

My name is Raffaele, and I am developing a free-roaming, 4D web engine that turns the real world into a playable, explorable digital twin. It uses public and shared data: historical blueprints, private photo archives, and public datasets. Think of it as an open-world video game where the environment is dictated by the timeline. If you set the slider to the 1930s, the whole world morphs into the exact textures and geometry of that decade, drawn only from verified proof. If there is no proof, the environment and buildings stand as blank geometric placeholders. Nothing is invented. Everything is cited.

Why now? We are losing our connection with the past. Digital history is turning into a dystopia where anything can be faked and nothing counts as proof. The technology to capture what is real is finally here. This IS the way to explore the world.

The Prototype: "Bundle #1 - Asola"
To prove this engine works, I am mapping my hometown: Asola (Italy). Why Asola? Because it is a 10,000-person town overflowing with rich, undocumented, offline private archives. It is the perfect stress-test. The locals will provide the data: family albums, historical society archives, the Church's historical records, and centuries of blueprints.

How you can help: I need help to build the technology. I am a solo developer writing the rendering engine, the data parsers, and the 3D pipeline to translate these raw datasets and sources into faithfully recreated 1:1 explorable worlds. This project has the potential to become the standard for how we preserve and explore human history globally. Your funding will buy me the time and server architecture needed to build this engine, refine the automated pipelines, and host the prototype.

Help me build the time machine. Let's make history literally explorable! Follow the build on my Patreon:
