Asking for Amazing Mom Anne Martin

Donation protected
For those of you who don't know me, I am married to Anne (Warner) Martin's younger brother, Dave Warner. And for those of you who don't know Anne, she was one of the kindest, most genuine, and loving people I knew. No matter how busy or stressed she was, she always had time to help and to show compassion. On May 18, 2019, Anne lost her seven year battle with cancer and leaves a loving husband and three children behind.

The reason I am asking for Anne Martin, is because she would have never asked for herself. Anne was a champion over the last seven years. She was a loving mother, a teacher, a sister, a daughter, a wife, a mentor, and a cancer patient. Anne graduated with a double major in chemistry and secondary education from Valparaiso University.  She taught at Elk Grove High School and was the remediation director at Duneland School Corporation.  Anne was most recently assisting with remediation and coaching middle school track at Washington Twp. School, helping run the family farm, Crooked Creek Farms, and was a member of Valparaiso Mennonite Church.

Diagnosed with breast cancer at age 31, shortly after having her third child, she never complained about what a crummy hand she was dealt. She fought hard, and she hoped, and she prayed, and she kept living life the best she could. She continued to be vulnerable and open and share her journey via Facebook. She shared her love and kindness with as many others as she could reach.

Now, I'm asking for you to pay the kindness that Anne had showed forward and help Anne's husband and three children. Funds raised will be used for outstanding medical bills, gift cards, and the convenience of prepared meal service to ease the burden of daily tasks during this incredibly difficult life transition. As a mother of young children myself, your support of Anne's family will mean the world to me. I can't imagine losing the love of my life and becoming a single parent all at once, as no one probably can. Your support will help Anne's family know how loved she was in return for all the love she gave.

Cancer doesn't win, love does.

With love and gratitude,
