Asian American Recovery Fund!

Happy May! May is known as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! To celebrate this month, there will be a concert to support Asian American mental health! As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, many Asians have been left traumatized, unemployed, and grieving the loss of their loved ones. Asians have been hit particularly hard by the outbreak as the fatality rate for Asians from Covid-19 is almost triple that of other ethnicities. In addition, about 50% of unemployed Asians have been jobless longer than any other ethnic group. The pandemic not only affected adults, but children too, as 1 in 4 Asian youths are bullied because of their race. Overall, these effects have had a massive impact on Asian American mental health. To support these people that have suffered, we are trying to raise money to donate to the Covid-19 Recovery Fund by the Asian Pacific Fund, to contribute to their programs that aim to help Asians overcome the devastating effects of the pandemic.
