Ashram and Orphanage Project

Hello Everyone!

We are building an Ashram and Educational Center for about 40+ Orphans in Nepal!

Please help us if you can, by donating any amount, 1$, 5$ or more!

Anything you can spare will go directly to creating a space in Nepal for empowering young children from the ages of 4-16;  used for creating spiritual connections, a space for education, arts and crafts, learning practical skills for life- cooking, sewing, farming etc., and just a general space for love and giving.

This will be a brand new space that will not only become their classroom and safe haven, but also an environmentally friendly and self sustaining accommodation for visitors from around the globe that care to give back in any way to the children; whether it be in the form of donating time to them, or to teach them a new skill set, or to just sit and enjoy meditation and relaxation.

The Ashram will operate in harmony with the nature, making the best eco-friendly choices we can: starting with construction and continuing with the food, supplies and furnishings to make the gentlest impact on the environment and provide wholesome food and personal care for residents and guests.  It will incorporate organic farming, which will be used for all meals, a range of activities, classes and workshops, and will include 20 Dormitory style Bedrooms, 4 shared bathrooms, a functional kitchen for every-day use and learning, and a few private cottages for those wishing for a larger bed and private space.

All proceeds raised while visiting the Ashram will be exclusively used for our Youth Programs, educational tools, and clothing/necessities for the children.

Once the Ashram is built, in exchange for your support (while you are visiting with us in Nepal) you will receive Sound Healing,  Silent Vipassana Mediation, Reiki Therapy, Yoga Classes and workshops, as well Yoga Teacher Training.

Right now, we are currently in the excavating phase and we are looking to earn any additional funds to put towards the building phase. (See photos)

Sandy Sooknanan, of Dutchess Yoga Studio has been working closely with this orphanage for years now.  She brings them clothing of all kinds, beds, bedding, shoes, money for food, hygiene products, educational toys and some fun ones too! She is so passionate, loving and selfless and these children really deserve the very best chance in life and she is doing her best to provide the basic needs to these very deserving children.
