Ashok was a kind and hardworking man who gave so much to Irish society through his beloved restaurant, Okra Green, which he ran for many years in Howth. He passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 due to stomach cancer, at the age of 52.

He leaves behind his four wonderful children, Pooja, Asha, Priyanka & Krish, who are now facing this devastating loss.

We, Baisat and Faizah, have started this GoFundMe to support the Kumar family with monthly costs during this incredibly difficult time.

Asha, in particular, has been an amazing friend to both of us since secondary school. Anyone who knows her will tell you that she goes above and beyond for the people she loves. We want to make sure her and her family are supported.
