Volunteering trip to Namibia

Donation protected
Hi!
My name is Ashley, and in May of 2016 I will recieve my Bachelor of Science degree from the Radio-TV-Film department at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.
As a graduation gift, my Mom surprised me by offering to pay for my airfare if I wanted to take a trip abroad.
I decided that, since I was recieving such a generous gift, that I should find a way for others benefit from it as well, which gave me the idea of volunteering abroad.

To commemorate my graduation while trying to make the most out of an amazing opportunity, I've decided to volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Africa.

If you've ever met me, you know that I have a special connection with animals.  Now that I have to ability to help animals in distress, while also getting to work hands-on with animal species I've only ever seen in zoos.

While researching possible places to visit, I came across a show on ,Hulu, called "Wild Animal Orphans" which captured life at N/a/an ku se Wildlife Animal Sanctuary, outside of Windhoek, Namibia.

My airfare budget was $1000 (not much to get to southern-Africa) and after a year of searching, I was about to give up on Namibia until something told me to search for airfare one-more-time.....I finally found ONE round-trip ticket for under $1000!

Now, I need your help to come up with the rest!  The expenses related to the volunteer program at N/a a'n ku se are NAD$18,800 (approx US$1,316) which not only cover my food and lodging at the sanctuary, but also contributes towards the expenses related to caring for so many animals.

The funny thing about planning a trip abroad: the famous saying, "the airfare is the cheap part", never comes into your head until you realize that you now have to figure out to pay for everything else!

Here's where you come in!

In addition to the airfare and program fees, there are also passort fees, visa-application fees, packing list items, and immunizations, just to name a few.

For more information about the sanctuary itself, please visit the  N/a a'n ku se Official Website

I thank you for your generous gift, through which I will be able to experience this amazing country and its' amazing animals.
