Hello beautiful Equinauts,
I come to you with a problem. We recently got back the deposit from the owners of Ash Barton, but due to some significant amounts of damage and our mess and late check out (which resulted in them losing the booking for the wedding unfortunately, which had been pretty certain) they've deducted £1500 from the £3000 we had given them. This seems a reasonable number and not something we were minded to dispute, for instance as well as the late check out the shower in the outside pool was broken, and a number of their expensive pans/chopping boards were ruined by the soot from our burners.
We were running very tight on the budget and so this leaves those of us who paid the deposit out of pocket £1500. We did have contingency built in, but due to a lot of last minute drop outs only had 130 tickets paid for.
As it turns out there's was also some damage to one of the vans and the excess/fees for this have come to £370 which lovely Harry has paid.
Here's a link to a go-fund-me, if you (you) feel able to it would be really good to get £15 -£20 from you to help us out. This is the potential cost of these parties unfortunately, and it's not a very tempting thing for people to keep volunteering to run them if they know they stand to lose quite a lot of money when they're done. We'd like the community to step up and take joint responsibility for this.
I had a bloody lovely time with all you lot by the way, and hopefully we (collectively) will do it again soon.
