Who We Are:
We are a collective of people working to amplify black voices in the UK. We aim to change perceptions and erase ignorance.
We stand against any discrimination. No one can be free until we are all equal.
Why We Are Here:
The world is beginning to wake up to the systemic racism embedded in society. However, much of the world’s media attention is still focused on America. It is important for everyone to realise the UK is not innocent and start the work at home.
This is about more than just one moment, one man, one hashtag, one country. We want to create a sustainable campaign that maintains the momentum needed to achieve equality for black people everywhere.
This is our contribution to the global movement for justice.
Black Lives Matter
What We Are We Doing:
We have created a platform for previously unheard voices. We make street art from the words and experiences of black individuals. By showcasing these words in public, we are both reclaiming these spaces and amplifying underrepresented black voices.
Street art is a historically successful tool within activism by combining it with social media we can reach a wider audience. Helping to highlight the specific issues black people face here in the UK.
This is a positive outlet for black individuals and an opportunity to inform and educate those unaware of the magnitude of the problem. This is a wake up call.
How You Can Help:
We need your help in order to keep creating work and continue to spread the message. We are relying on donations to run the organisation and execute the upcoming projects we have planned.
This crowd funder is for people that feel able to donate to more than one cause. We understand that this is a difficult time and there are many important organisations and charities supporting black lives. We do not want to divert any donations away from crucial work on the front line in the fight for equality.
