ArthouseCafe will not only be a place but a whole experience. Where food,art,wellness and community will be united to create an unique new concept of retreat and experience.

We’ve decided to use our land to create an environment that reunites our love for entertainment,sustainability and living a healthy life

We believe that by creating a beautiful place where tourists and locals can share their knowledge for food,art, crafts,language, nature and music will automatically create a sense of family and unity that is sometimes lacking in our modern society.

Our space aims to be an inspiration to others!!!

If we’ll be able to raise our goal we’ll donate a part to a charity business that helps kids and families.

Arthousecafe will have :

-A main building that will be used as our cafe but also as a space for workshops, pop up restaurants and events for the community.

-An Airbnb retreat to share our experience with the world and a space to accommodate our guests that will create our events .

-An area for a no dig garden that will provide seasonal vegetable for our menu and encourage the natural biodiversity of wildlife and insects.

-An area of mixed fruit orchard that will provide delicious fruits for our homemade jams ,platters and a big variety of companion flowers and herbs.

-All this will be created in respect of nature , surroundings and will provide local and homemade products.

WHO ARE WE ?

We are Iasmina , Alessandro ,Rodi and our family is a big multicultural group of people that will be also part of our project and you’ll meet them along the way . We have a shared dream to educate by our love for nature , food and traditions. Our aim is to inspire people and most important to make everyone feel welcomed in our home because it’s all about community.

IASMINA (the creative mind) I was born in Romania, but i am half German from my fathers side. I’ve lived in Italy 20 years and now I’m based in London. I’ve worked in hospitality fine dining restaurants ,management , art and design Since moving to London I’ve met great people along my journey and learnt many skills and innovative ideas that made me feel in love with the world of hospitality and even more especially the zero waste movement. I love how Food is what connects everyone and I love entertaining friends and family with delicious meals . Details and kindness are key for this job! I’ve studied Art in a particular industrial design ,different art techniques and at the moment I’m a tattoo artist and manager in a studio in London . I consider myself a creative person who prides myself in being very organised and I think that everything is possible ! Together with my partner Alessandro we’ve opened a small sustainable gardening business that is now growing so fast and will be part of our project. During my free time I use food to relax and I love trying and creating new recipes. I want to create a community around cooking,growing,and learning!

ALESSANDRO (the urban gardener) I come from the north of Italy and I’m based in London. I founded Spicymoustache to share my love and passion for nature and teach everyone how to grow their own food! The root of these projects are driven by the strong purpose of Gardening and using conventional methods of farming, to prevent damage to not only our land but also the biodiversity of micro and macro organisms destroying any chance for future generations to enjoy what Pachamama (Mother Earth) has to offer! I have a background of management in hospitality and I’m passionate about art in particular tattoos, in fact I have quite a big collection. I’ll be part of this project and I’ll take care of the green areas to provide seasonal food in our kitchen. I’ll also love to organise some workshops and share my knowledge and love for sustainable gardening and lifestyle.

RODICA (the boss) I’m the Mother! I always loved cooking and baking. My life is surrounded by family and friends reunited on a Sunday lunch with many different meals . I love entering people and creating an environment where food is the star that reunites everyone and gives a moment of peace and happiness. I was born in Romania and have lived in Italy for the past 25 years . My cuisine is a mix of cultures and reinvented recipes. I love old traditional hearted food but also more sophisticated ones. I’d love to create a space that makes everyone feel like they’re part of the family and share with them our mixed culture. Many things has happened in my life and made me understand how important community , family and health is . To create this business I’ll leave my job in Italy and I’ll move back to my hometown together with my children and family. I’m very exited to see the result and welcome you all. A big thank you to our brothers , sisters , friends and all the rest of the family that will take part in building this place .

WHAT INSPIRED US ?

This was a dream that we all had for years so one day we’ve decided that it’s time to change and use all our knowledge to finally create our dream ,to restore and protect our piece of land and use it to benefit the community and the ecosystem. Our piece of land is just outside Timisoara a beautiful city in the west, rich with history , art and part of the modern world.

We are part of the new generation that means that after our parents left the country for a better future we are the people that now after travelling and learning different cultures have the power to go back to our hometown and help rebuilding it.

We want children and adults alike to discover new skills by participating at our workshops.

We’ll use the concept of “give&receive” where we’ll invite professionals to create an event for one day in exchange we’ll offer a free of charge weekend in our Airbnb retreat.

We ask our public to help us build this first step of our project that will be the structures of the main 3 buildings

The second step of this project will be to focus on the garden and details of the space . We’re more than happy to have volunteers and any kind of help (materials, ideas, secondhand furnitures etc..)to support us.
