Arson attack on Roberts boat.

Hi my name is John Smith a personal friend and fellow member of the same club as Robert Stockwin.

We are raising funds to replace Roberts dream. Mindful that this sort of thing could happen to any of us. We are hoping that the fellowship of sailors can pull together and help out.

I must first dispel the illusion that all boat owners are wealthy people some of us are not. Some just working folk with a passion for boats. With six months to go before his retirement Robert a hospital porter with all his savings invested in the boat has been a victim of an arson attack.

Roberts insurance isn't covering this.

We suspect that a homeless person has broken in to shelter from the very cold weather and that the fire was an accident. We have CCTV footage that points to this.

The net effect is that the boats interior is effectively destroyed. The vessel has been inspected to assess its viability to repair. The inspection has deemed it beyond economic repair. Sadly the option may be to break it for spares.
