Arnav & Ashna's Mission for a Better Future

Hi everyone,

My name is Arnav Sreeram, and I’m a ninth grader with a strong interest in giving back — especially to communities that have shaped my family’s story. This summer, my younger sister Ashna and I are raising funds for Sevalaya, a non-profit organization based in Chennai, India, our parents’ hometown.

Sevalaya (https://www.sevalaya.us/) does incredible work by providing free education, healthcare, and support to orphaned and underprivileged children, senior citizens, and people living in rural areas. They run schools, hospitals, and homes that serve thousands without charging a single rupee. Their mission is simple but powerful: “Serve all with love and compassion.”

Although we’ve grown up in the U.S., we’ve visited Chennai many times, and each trip reminds us how different life can be depending on where you're born. We believe that education and basic healthcare should be accessible to all, and we want to do my part.

Our goal is to raise money to support Sevalaya’s educational and healthcare programs. Every dollar we raise will go directly to helping children get access to school, nutritious meals, and basic medical care.
