Army Veteran Seeking a Fresh Start

I'm a 52 year old Army Veteran and a born and raised Southeast Portland resident who has been homeless for about a year. After my mother passed away, I lost not only my home but also my sense of stability. I was her full-time caretaker, and when she died, my family took advantage of my mental health and substance abuse struggles. They managed to have me evicted from my childhood home and kept all of my personal belongings. I was originally the executor of my mother's estate, but my niece convinced me to sign over executor duties to her, promising to honor my mother's wishes. Unfortunately, that promise was not kept, and I was left with nothing.

Since then, I've been living on the street, struggling each day to get by. My physical health is declining, and my mental health has suffered greatly. I am seeking help to secure stable housing, access mental health and drug rehabilitation services, and cover basic everyday expenses. I want to rebuild my life and find hope again, but I can't do it alone.
